This week, 500 families around Columbus visited a Children’s Hunger Alliance meal distribution site and received an extra plastic bag with the to-go meals. In the bags are a dozen or so green bean seeds and a postcard outlining how to plant the seeds at home. These seed packets were created to help families plant seeds together this spring. A total of 1,500 seed packets will be donated. This is a partnership between the Ohio State University Extension Farm to School, Ohio State University Extension Franklin County and Children’s Hunger Alliance.
